Trinity Old Scholars
CRICKET: The Trinity College Old Scholars
found the going tough on the cricket field
this week, with both the A and B-grade
sides recovering from tough positions to
set the opposition defendable targets.
Skipper Tim Viner-Smith had the top
score in the A grade's match against
Concordia, which was played on their turf.

scored 36 and would have liked to see a

Ali Forward (30), Anton Hill (27) and
Alex Cotter (24) all got going but lost
their wickets at crucial times. The leading
partnership was 45 (Viner-Smith/Hill).

winner on Saturday as they defend 179.
In the B grade, Ben Hall's Bushrangers

Prince Alfred Old Collegians than they
did in their previous match against Port
Batting on a sticky wicket, overcast
conditions and drizzle made batting
difficult as the lads collapsed.
At 6/60, some good hitting down the
order from Tom For wood and Sam Lee

In reply, PAC is two-for-not-many with
Moe Walker and Stef Lainas getting the
wickets in a tricky spell which has set the
side up with a chance of victory when
play resumes on Saturday.
By all accounts, some of the boys need
to remember their etiquette around the
table during tea breaks.
Meanwhile, the C grade added another
win, with Port Districts, perhaps scared off
after the Ben Hall's B graders demolished
their clubmates in the previous round,
Boys, remember the first T20 match
of our campaign this season is next
Wednesday; if you're not selected, get
around the lads anyway.
