grand final, after beating Lutheran by five
goals on the weekend.
St George's was the favourite heading into
the match, having played finals every year for
the better part of a decade, and having been
playing great netball of late.
Lutheran, however, was determined to
stake its claim for a shot at the premiership,
despite being comfortably beaten by its op-
ponent earlier in the year.
The first quarter was a low-scoring affair,
with both teams struggling to convert in front
of goal and St George's went into quarter-time
just two goals up.
Both teams emerged from the break
with extra run and the game flowed more
